Can I use K-pop idol, celebrity or character artwork in my frames?
Short answer
Only with the rights holder's permission. Idol, celebrity and character artwork belongs to someone, and getting the rights is up to you as the operator.
Idol frames are popular, but the artwork and the person's image belong to the agency or rights holder. Selling prints with them without permission can be infringement.
- Ask the agency, label or licensor for permission, or work with an official collaboration.
- Use your own artwork, or artwork you have licensed.
- Keep a record of the permission.
This is the operator's responsibility; check before you sell.
